Description

Yantian Ancient Camphor Tree Folk-Custom Garden

Located between the Mandarin Duck Lake and the Rainbow Bridge in the north of Wuyuan City, Yantian Ancient Camphor Tree Folk-Custom Garden is one of the best tourism attractions in Wuyuan City, built in the Northern Song Dynasty (960 A.D.-1,127 A.D.), which is characterized by idyllic style. There is the best-preserved Shuikou Culture remains in the attraction.

Looking into the fine views before your eyes, you will see the vast camphor tree, the ancient deep well, the Water-Powered Trip Hammer, the Longevity Spring, the Tasting-Tea Pavilion, the Ancient Shude Bridge and the Folk-Custom Museum, all of which are full of idyllic atmosphere, and the whole attraction combines perfectly with the neighboring idyllic landscapes.

As a matter of fact, there are 10 ancient trees with strong trunks and verdant leaves along Shude Bridge in the center of the attraction, and each of them tells how time went by and symbolizes the civilization in this area. Of all the trees in the garden, the most famous one is the camphor tree with a long history of more than 1,500 years, which is adored as the Tree God by the local villagers with a circumference of 14 meters (15 yards), covering an area of 2000 square meters (2,392 square yards), and it is bestowed with the title of “the First Camphor Tree in the Heaven”, forming delightful contrast with the culture relic in the garden and creating a serene and elegant atmosphere in the garden on the whole. You can not only spend your holiday as relaxed as possible, but also you will feel that you live in harmony with the nature in the garden, and it attracts more and more visitors from all over the world each year
